Sunday the 15th of December, we celebrated our yearly Candle Light Dinner at the Jan Steen Room in the Jan van Goyen House. We had the privilige to use the newly renovated Jan Steen Room as a venue (renovated this Autumn) which proved to be a huge success. Around 6 pm the entire house was filled with a wide variety of guests, including some of the expats, employees, friends of the Fundatie, tenants and volunteers of the Jan van Goyen House. After a nice glass of wine and some mingling, around 7 pm the guests (about 60) moved to their respective tables and enjoyed a lovely dinner, which included a cream of mushroom soup, a turkey paté with winter asparagus and cranberries for a starter and a main course of hare stew, mashed patatoes, red cabbage and roasted chestnuts (and for the vegetarians among us there were pan-seered wild mushrooms instead of the stew). This all was topped off with a delicate dessert. | A big thank you to all who made it possible and who made it a success! Thank you guests, expats, friends, tenants and employees for celebrating the good things in life with us! The Fundatie Team |
